A total of 37 more overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) from Israel were transported back to the country in the continuing repatriation of Filipinos who want to go back amid the armed conflict in the Middle East.
The arrival of 37 OFws, the 13th batch of repatriated Filipinos, brought to 411 the total number of those repatriated from Israel since Hamas gunmen attacked Israel on Oct. 7.
In a statement, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) said the OFws arriv3ed at 6:35 p.m. at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal on board the Philippine Airlines flight PR 731.
Of those who arrived, the DMW said 31 of them are caregivers while the rest are hotel workers.
The DMW earlier commited to provide the necessary assistance to the repatriated OFWs from Israel, including their transportation back to their respective home towns.
