Arillo, Ayala Land’s new mixed-use estate in Nasugbu, is an escape from the city crowd

Lush landscapes and tree branches swaying gently in nature’s breeze welcome you to Arillo, an estate development of Ayala Land Inc. (ALI) spanning 62 hectares in Batulao, Nasugbu, Batangas, featuring a blend of ecotourism, sustainable development, and upscale living for residents and visitors.

Unveiled on Dec. 7, Arillo will have mixed-use developments for residential and commercial spaces, including the Blue Leaf Events Place, an upcoming El Kabayo horseback riding venue, and a 15-hectare mountain leisure center, Arillo Canyon Trails.

A mountain leisure center, set to open next year, will feature a café, a welcome hub for buyers and guests, and the inclusion of a mountain climbing center, which is the jump off point to Mt. Batulao and Mt. Talamitam via Arillo Canyon Trails.

By integrating a mountain-themed estate with existing beach offerings, Arillo is poised to enhance Nasugbu's local tourism industry and bring in this part of the country Ayala Land’s showcase of sustainability.

“With an initial investment of P1.9 billion over the next five years, Ayala Land is set to enhance the natural scenery of Arillo further and create a one-of-a-kind leisure destination,” said Ayala Land President and CEO Anna Ma. Margarita “Meean” Dy. “We want to give back by providing jobs to the residents of Nasugbu (since Arillo will) become the center of economic activity.”

Strategic growth location

Located in Barangay Caylaway, Nasugbu, Batangas, Arillo is accessible via major highways such as SLEX or Skyway, CALAX, CAVITEX, and Nasugbu-Tagaytay Highway. The upcoming Cavite-Tagaytay-Batangas Expressway (CTBEX) is poised to further improve connectivity, reducing travel time from Makati by at least 30 minutes.

“With its proximity to Tagaytay and Nasugbu's beaches, Arillo promises a unique blend of cool mountain weather and the convenience of nearby beach resorts,” according to a company statement.  “(It) is also committed to providing organized transport systems within the estate, ensuring convenience and accessibility for residents and visitors. Efforts will be made to establish efficient transportation services catering to the needs of the community.”

Rolling terrain of Nasugbu will serve as site of ALI’s new estate project.

Nasugbu, officially known as the Municipality of Nasugbu, is a first-class municipality in Batangas, renowned for its white sandy beach and popular tourist destinations. Home to iconic wedding churches such as Caleruega Church and Don Bosco Chapel on the Hill, Nasugbu is also a haven for outdoor enthusiasts with Mount Batulao and Mount Talamitam offering challenging hiking trails.

Embracing sustainability

Arillo is committed to sustainable tourism practices and partnerships with local authorities. Conservation organizations will also ensure the preservation of the area's natural beauty while offering visitors unforgettable experiences through mountain climbing and trekking activities.

Arillo stands out with its unique features and offerings, anchored by majestic mountain features. The estate boasts its own 15-hectare Canyon Trails, showcasing a diverse range of flora and fauna. Committed to preserving the area's natural beauty, Arillo has partnered with the Center for Conservation Innovation Philippines, Inc. to conduct biodiversity studies and implement programs fostering and sustaining the ecosystem.

Soon, the estate will have a horseback riding venue called El Kabayo.

It aims to provide a curated restaurant district, offering a wide selection of dining options to complement the food offerings already available in the Tagaytay area.

“Arillo presents a compelling investment opportunity, bringing the best of Tagaytay's leisure experience to Batulao. Its prime location, adjacency to famous leisure and event venues, and proximity to the Batulao Mountains make it an ideal destination for a premium leisure experience,” the company said. “With a variety of property options, including residential lots, commercial lots, and leasing opportunities, Arillo caters to diverse investment preferences.”
