The Parañaque City government distributed assistance to 627 beneficiaries of the City Social Amelioration Program (CSAP) who were fire victims.
Mayor Eric Olivarez was joined by Barangay Chairwoman Eva Olivarez in the payout to CSAP beneficiaries held at the Barangay San Dionisio Gymnasium on Saturday, Dec. 16.
Olivarez said the beneficiaries who received P3,000 were those whose houses were totally damaged by the fire while those whose homes were partially damaged received P2,000.
He said the City Social Welfare and Development Office assessed the extent the damage of fire to determine the amount to be given to the victims of the fire.
The mayor said a total of 624 families from Barangay San Dionisio, two from Barangays Don Galo, and one from Moonwalk received financial assistance from the city government.
Aside from the financial assistance, the city government also distributed relief packs, blankets, mats, and construction material to help them start rebuilding their homes.
He also said the Mayor’s Office is open to all city residents who wish to ask for additional financial and medical assistance.
