The Navotas City Police Station (NCPS) participated in a mural painting activity of the Department of Environmental and Natural Resources (DENR) at the Metropolitan Environmental Office (MEO) North building in Navotas City, on Monday, Dec. 18.

The event's theme was "Bringing Back Sunsets: The Future of Manila Bay and Active Roles in Movements Move People."
It aims to raise public awareness about Manila Bay's rehabilitation program.
According to Navotas City Police Station (NCPS) chief Col. Mario Cortez, five police officers participated in the event.
"Lima pong Philippine National Police (PNP) Navotas ang pinasama natin kanina (We had five police officers of Navotas City Police who went with us to the event),” he said.
The event was also participated in by DENR-NCR Regional Executive Director Jacqueline A. Caancan, Asst Regional Director for Technical Services Henry Pacis, and MEO Directors.

The event coincided with the commemoration of the 15th anniversary since the Supreme Court issued the writ of continuing mandamus for the Manila Bay.
The writ mandated 13 agencies to engage in activities focused on cleaning up, rehabilitating, and enhancing the water quality of Manila Bay. The ultimate goal was to render the bay suitable for swimming, skin diving, and a variety of recreational activities.
