Leyte town distributes Christmas gift packs

TACLOBAN CITY – The local government of Carigara in Leyte is distributing Christmas gift packages to all households in the municipality.

Mayor Eduardo Ong Jr. said that each of the 13,500 households will be given a spaghetti package.

These food packs funded by the town will be distributed by officials of the 49 barangays.

Ong bared his Christmas wish for his constituents. "We wish everyone happy holidays filled with peace with your loved ones," he said.

The local government ensured that all households will be given based on barangay records.

Carigara is a second-class municipality in the second district of Leyte with a population of 55,000.
