UPD extends online classes, WFH arrangements due to another transport strike
The University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) on Sunday, Dec. 17, said it will extend the conduct of online classes and work-from-home arrangements for the remaining working days of 2023 due to the continuation of the transport strike.

On Dec.12, UPD announced the suspension of face-to-face classes and work-from-home setups in line with the transport strike held on Dec. 14 and 15.
However, transport groups Piston and Manibela on the second day of the strike said they will hold another nationwide 12-day strike from Dec. 18 to 29 to continue protesting against the deadline of the government’s Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP).
UPD said the faculty, staff, and students should refer to the memorandum order released on Dec. 12 for the classes and work arrangement guidelines.
Meanwhile, UPD in the memo noted that UP Health Service, UPD Police, Public Safety and Security Office, Special Services Brigade, and Campus Maintenance Office are still obliged to report on-site.
