UBS Philippines has launched its inaugural “Women and Finance” dialogue series where top women business leaders, professionals and entrepreneurs in the Philippines gathered to discuss key topics focusing on women empowerment.
Also discussed was how to achieve success at the workplace while maintaining work-life balance. The forum also explored key themes on achieving financial independence for women with careers and businesses.

“I am delighted to kickstart this new Women dialogue series in Philippines today. We have brought together a small group of women leaders to provide insights on female leadership in the Philippine corporate context. Part of our dialogue also includes a section on promoting financial empowerment,” said UBS Philippines Country Head and Head of Global Markets Robby Go.
He added that, “at UBS, we believe that diverse teams are able to better understand and relate to our diverse clients’ needs. Gender diversity is one of our key priorities across the firm, and we envision more women building long and satisfying careers.”
“Globally, we have been increasing the representation of women at senior management levels. I strongly believe this should also be an aspiration in the Philippine corporate space. We at UBS are keen to be at the core of that dialogue, inspiring Filipinas and Philippine companies to continue supporting women in their careers, and promoting the next generation of women leaders,” Go said.
The keynote panel focused on the importance of women leadership in companies and businesses. The panel showcased a diverse group coming from different ages, educational and family background, career paths and industries.
Keynote panelists included: Anita Linda Aquino, Monetary Board Member, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas; Anna Ma. Margarita Bautista Dy, President and CEO of Ayala Land Inc.; Marriana H. Yulo-Luccini, CEO, Hotel101 Global Pte. Ltd; and Angela Sy, CFO, Focus Global.
The panel discussed many aspects of women leadership, gender biases, female empowerment on financial issues, and work-life balance.
UBS Philippines said it was an engaging and inspirational dialogue session as the panelists shared their personal insights on women leadership, their experiences in the corporate world and achieving work life balance.
The discussion also added perspectives on how financial freedom and independence have bolstered their careers, allowing them to achieve personal satisfaction, while balancing work and life priorities.
