Navotas gov't starts distribution of Christmas hams to residents

The Navotas City government started the distribution of Christmas hams to the residents as part of the city's holiday celebration on Sunday, Dec. 17.

Navotas City Mayor John Reynald "John Rey" Tiangco led the distribution in Barangays Tangos North and South along with Vice Mayor Tito Sanchez and the officials of the barangays.

"Taon taon naman po ito at 'yan, sinumlan po natin ngayong araw at hanggang December 22 na po 'yan. At lahat ng barangay iikutin po natin para makamusta at mabati ng Maligayang Pasko sa ang mga pamilyang Navoteño (We do this every year, we started today and that's until December 22. And we will go around all the barangays to say hello and wish the Navoteño families a Merry Christmas)," the mayor said.

He told the city residents that being with their families is the true essence of Christmas.

The city government will distribute the Christmas hams to the families in Barangays NBBS Dagat-Dagatan and Sipac Almacen on Dec. 18; Barangays San Jose and San Roque on Dec. 19; Barangays BBN, BBS, Navotas East, Navotas West, Bangkulasi, SRV, and NBBN on Nov. 20;  Tanza 1, Tanza 2, and Daanghari on Dec. 21;  NBBS Kaunlaran and NBBS Proper on Dec. 22.
