Drug pusher, runner nabbed in buy-bust; P1.5-M shabu seized

BACOLOD CITY – Police seized 232 grams of suspected shabu worth P1,577,600 from a drug pusher and his runner in a buy-bust operation in Purok Sigay, Barangay 2, this city, on Friday, December 15.

Police identified the suspect as Michael John Tabara, 39, of Barangay 29 here, and an 18-year-old student from Barangay Banago, this city.

Police Capt. Joven Mogato, head of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), said they received a report on Tabara’s alleged illegal drug activities in the area.

Mogato said the report that turned out positive, prompting them to launch the operation.

Police recovered from the suspects the P10,000 marked money and P250.

Mogato said that Tabara was arrested for sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs before but was released. The teenaged suspect had been apprehended for illegal gambling.

Suspects are detained at Police Station 2.
