Chanyeol caps off 2023 with Penshoppe fan meeting in Manila

K-pop star and actor Chanyeol brought holiday joy to Filipino fans with a fun event over the weekend.

On Dec. 16, clothing brand Penshoppe organized an exclusive fan meeting in Manila for Chanyeol, the latest addition to its roster of global ambassadors.

Held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, the event was Chanyeol’s biggest fan meet to date in Manila, delighting fans just in time for the holidays.

Chanyeol (찬열) started the show with his performance of EXO-SC’s “Nothin” while donning pieces from Penshoppe’s Holiday Collection.

Emcee Kring Kim formally welcomed fans and started with “Keeping Up with Chanyeol Segment,” where he chose from an assortment of oversized envelopes, each containing questions that allowed fans to get to know the star.

Chanyeol followed this with a fun fast talk-style segment, where he answered questions sent in by the audience.

He then watched the Don’t Mess Up my Tempo!” segment, where got to see fans bust a move via Penshoppe-produced dance videos. He also accepted the challenge of guessing which songs the moves were originally choreographed to.

In another segment, Chanyeol designed five Penshoppe tees using art materials. The original designs were raffled off to the audience.

Chanyeol was also asked by the emcee to say “Mahal Kita (I love you)” in different expressions–with an on-screen Kilig Meter measuring just how enchanted fans were by his proclamation of love for them.

Fans likewise got to share admiration for Chanyeol firsthand through voice notes that were broadcast during the show, as well as a fan sign big enough for him to read from stage.

To cap the segment, Chanyeol was reaffirmed as fans’ “Cherry Prince” with a crown handed to him, and every member of the audience wearing their own Cherry-adorned crowns in recognition of him being their true Cherry Prince.

Chanyeol performed “Tomorrow,” “SSFW,” “Rodeo Station” and his latest hit single, “Good Enough.”

“This event is the perfect way to culminate Chanyeol’s exciting year with Penshoppe,” said Penshoppe brand director Brandon Liu.

Announced as Penshoppe’s newest ambassador in March, Chanyeol has boasted of Penshoppe’s everyday-wear pieces, effortlessly pulling off looks from the brand’s Easy Neutrals collection—switching between both dressier and laid-back looks.

His partnership with Penshoppe was meant not only to showcase his iconic style and fashion but to also strengthen the idol’s relationship with both his fans and Penshoppe patrons.
