AP.Bren shattered all doubts and rose to the pinnacle of MLBB Esports after crowning itself as the undisputed king with an M5 World Championship now added to its collection of accolades following a pulsating 4-3 victory over Onic Esports at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum early Monday, Dec. 18.

The quintet of Rowgien “Owgwen” Unigo, Kyle “Kyletzy Sayson, David “Flaptzy” Canon, Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel and Marco “Super Marco” Requitano became the first team to be crowned as world champions twice in a span of a year after also winning the IESF World Esports Championship as part of the Sibol team just last September.

AP.Bren slammed the door on any hopes of a comeback for Onic Esports with a masterful Game 7 performance to achieve plenty of firsts in the M-series stage – becoming the first team to have multiple M-worlds titles and the first host team to win it all.

Flaptzy who was adjudged as the Finals MVP stepped up in the endgame rallying Bren Esports from a 5-7 kill deficit with backline dives on his Khaleed pick. His efforts helped the Filipinos contain CW's Claude, Sanz's Yve and Kiboy's Kadita to come out on top in the winner-take-all.

The Filipinos avenged their stinging 3-0 defeat against Onic in the upper bracket finals while also putting the Indonesian champions’ mad rush to the Golden Road to a screeching halt.

It was actually the host which drew first blood with a dominant 7-1 win behind the efforts of Kyletzy who put up a perfect 3-0-7 line while Owgwen set the tone with a 0-0-7 line on the Mathilda.

Onic, though, managed to pull through with a tight 15-13 Game 2 win for the equalizer with Sanz leading the way with an impressive 4-0-10 line on the Gord pick.

The loss, however, hardly slowed down the Filipinos as they went to series match point with lopsided wins in Games 3 and 4 with 15-8 and 11-1 triumphs.

The Indonesian champions made their last stand in Game 5, dragging the match into the late game where they outlasted the Filipino champions in the 26th minute Lord fight to come away with an 18-19 comeback and live to fight another game.

Onic rode the momentum from that big win as CW ran wild on his Claude pick with a 9-1-8 to preside over a masterful 20-12 win in Game 6 to force the winner-take-all.
