Onic Esports pulled off a miraculous comeback in Game 1 and never let go of the momentum from there to send AP.Bren to the lower bracket finals with a 3-0 sweep move closer to the M5 World Championship at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum on Saturday, Dec. 16.

With their base the lone building standing on their side, the Indonesians displayed their championship poise and held on in the face of four Lord sieges from the Filipinos before Kiboy executed a perfect setup on his Tigreal to turn the tides.
He caught four AP.Bren heroes as the rest of his crew followed up to score a wipeout and go for the one-lane push and complete the emphatic comeback from a 1-14 kill score and 13k gold deficit.
Onic, which was starved of its resources in the early and mid game, even waited 19 minutes to score their first kill.
But the 6-15 comeback certainly did good for Onic as it dominated the next two games to close out the series and march to the Grand Finals.
Onic also gets a rare shot at walking to the MLBB Esports Golden Road.
Onic has won the MPL Indonesia Seasons 11 and 12 as well as the midyear MSC tournament, making them the first team to be in a position of sweeping the four Moonton-sanctioned tournaments in a year's span.
That wouldn't be possible though without the impressive Game 2 performance of Onic where it returned the favor to AP.Bren and dominated the PH champions, 11-1.
Completely deflated by the Game 1 loss, AP.Bren never really put up enough fight to threaten Onic absorbing another lopsided 15-3 loss.
With the defeat, AP.Bren will now have to face Blacklist International for the right to Onic.
