Mayor Cayetano says House of Representatives' transfer to Taguig needs careful planning
Mayor Lani Cayetano welcomed the plan of the House of Representatives to transfer to Fort Bonifacio, Taguig but stressed the need for careful planning and addressing issues such as traffic.
Cayetano attended the House Ad Hoc Committee meeting, headed by Rep. Luis Villafuerte.

“We see this opportunity as a sign of Taguig's development, yet I also expressed the importance of planning carefully and addressing key issues such as traffic impact, establishing a transport system, ensuring security, and enhancing connectivity for the convenience of all stakeholders,” Cayetano said in a Facebook post on Dec. 15.
She said during the meeting, “I expressed our readiness to provide necessary information for a comprehensive evaluation of the plan.”
“The Senate of the Philippines is set to transfer to Taguig the first/second quarter of next year. It would be our honor to house the country’s legislature and we thank you for considering Taguig City for such a historic move not just for our City, but for the nation," said Cayetano.
