Manila Cathedral releases schedule of masses for the holidays
The Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception (Manila Cathedral) in Intramuros, Manila has released the schedule of holy masses for the faithful who might want to attend the services at the Mother Church.

For those who cannot attend the traditional dawn masses, the anticipated ‘Simbang Gabi’ will be held from Dec. 15 to 23 at 8 p.m.
The traditional dawn masses will be offered from Dec. 16 to 24 at 4:30 a.m.
On Dec. 24, Christmas Eve, holy masses will be celebrated at 4:30 a.m., 8 a.m., 10 a.m., and at 8 p.m. to be presided by Manila Archbishop Jose Cardinal Advincula.
The faithful are invited to bring the Infant Jesus from their Belen or Nativity Scene to be blessed after the mass.
A Christmas Eve concert will be held at 6:30 p.m.
On Dec. 25, Christmas Day, holy masses will be celebrated at 8 a.m., 10 a.m., 4 p.m., and at 6 p.m.
On Dec. 31, New Year’s Eve, masses will be offered at 8 a.m., 10 a.m., 6 p.m., and at 8 p.m. to be presided by Cardinal Advincula.
On the first day of the new year on Jan. 1, Eucharistic celebrations will be held at 8 a.m., 10 a.m., 4 p.m., and at 6 p.m.
Meanwhile, Monsignor Rolando R. dela Cruz, in his homily for the first day of the ‘Simbang Gabi’ at the Manila Cathedral, prayed for the faithful to be able to recognize the face of Jesus.
“During these days when we prepare for Your birth, give us Lord the grace to recognize Your face,” he said.
