Leak detection efforts to cause water service interruptions in QC
West Zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services, Inc. scheduled a week-long water interruption in Quezon City.
Starting Monday, Dec. 18 to Christmas Day, Dec. 25, several barangays in QC are set to experience leak detection to identify which areas need improvement.
Leak detection is done to minimize the impact of water losses and ensure quality safety for consumers.
Maynilad stated that the maintenance activities reflect the company’s effort to improve the water services within Western Metro Manila.
The utility firm assured that the service interruptions will happen during the off-peak hours to avoid further inconvenience to customers in QC.
The list of Quezon City barangays and their dates is as follows:
Dec. 18 to 19, from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM
- Brgy. Baesa
Dec. 19 to 20, from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM
- Brgy. Nova Proper
Dec. 20 to 21, from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM
- Brgy. Nagkaisang Nayon
Dec. 21 to 22, from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM
- Brgy. Mariblo
Dec. 23 to 24, from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM
- Brgy. Bungad
Dec. 24 to 25, from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM
- Brgy. Sta. Teresita and San Isidro Labrador
Maynilad also informed residents that water tankers will be available in the areas affected, but advised that storing enough water should mitigate the impact of low supply.
