It’s the Christmas season! As everyone knows, it’s the busiest time of the year for the North Pole as Santa Claus and his band of elves are hard at work to make sure those on the nice list get something wonderful for Christmas Eve. But another big aspect of the holiday season is livening up one’s home to match the festive vibes brought by Christmas. We asked Santa Claus and a few other holiday icons their go-to decorative pieces for the holidays so that you can get a grasp of how to holi-dazzle up your crib!

Santa Claus
Ho ho ho, I’ve always been a fan of Christmas lights since they help me navigate around. How else will I find the Christmas tree in the dark? There’s just something magical about how they sparkle in the night. Doesn’t matter what kind, I love them all! From those that blink and play a merry tune to those shaped like houses and trees, it’s hard to pick. I suppose I do have a preference for the simpler ones, nice and plain so they’re easier on the eyes.

Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer
Author’s note: As Rudolph is a reindeer, he cannot speak. His red nose started to blink vividly though after he spotted my snack container. We shared cookies and hot cocoa to stay warm, the North Pole is quite cold after all.

Krampus
Many people think I’m just the evil spirit on Christmas Eve, who punishes naughty children. But I’d like to argue that off-duty, I’m relatively chill. I often help Santa and the elves make new toys outside of the holiday season. As for me, I’m not much of a decorations type but I do appreciate a nice throw blanket. Helps keep my fur warm and adds a nice touch to the living room sofa.

The only thing I care about during the Christmas season is the food. Friends, who needs them? Although I suppose if anyone would be crazy enough to stop by for dinner, I’d have to put out my best dinnerware. Just because I loathe the holidays doesn’t mean I won’t bring out my best for any guests coming along.

Seeing as to how I’m made of snow, a nice warm pair of mittens go a long way. It helps keep me cozy during this cool season. On another plus side, the elves like to borrow my mittens whenever they need to bring out a fresh batch of cookies from the oven. They give me some in return! A fair exchange if you ask me. It’s also a pleasant site seeing them hang on my kitchen wall.

Bah, humbug! If you ask me, decorations aren’t practical for the so-called Yuletide season. If you truly wish to be practical for the holidays, a well-written card is enough to give life to the room. Saves you more money. Of course, there’s always those special gift cards that make shopping easier. That ought to be enough to please anyone in your life.
