Three drug suspects tagged by the police as high value individuals (SLIs) were arrested by members of Southern Police District-Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) after they yielded P244,800 worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation on Friday, Dec. 15.
The suspects -- Rommel, 42; Son, 28; and Yna, 43 -- were nabbed at around 6:30 p.m. in Barangay Maricaban, Pasay City.
According to Col. Mario Mayames, Pasay City police chief, members of the SPD-DEU and District Intelligence Unit (DID) coordinated with Police Substation 7 before they conducted an entrapment operation for the arrest of three suspects who were subject of complaints in the community.
Mayames said the operatives were able to confiscate from the suspects eight heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing about 36 grams of shabu worth P244,800.
Police also recovered the P34,000 boodle money used in the buy-bust.
The confiscated shabu was brought at the SPD Forensic Unit for chemical analysis.
