Newly elected officials of Parañaque Liga ng Barangay take oath

The newly elected officials of Liga ng Barangay took their oath of office before Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez on Friday, Dec. 15, at the Mayor’s Office on the fourth floor of Parañaque City Hall.

According to Olivarez, Barangay San Isidro Chairman Noel Japlos was voted by 16 barangay chairmen as president of Liga ng Barangay.

Olivarez said Barangay Sto. Nino Chairman Johnny Co was named as vice-president and Adrian Bernabe of Merville was chosen as auditor of the group.

He said the Board of Directors are Peter Augustine Velasco of La Huerta, Evangeline Olivarez of San Dionisio, Jennifer Quizon of Tambo, Alexander Alvarez of Vitalez, Mario Jimenez of Don Bosco, Leopoldo Casale of San Antonio, Thelma Singson of San Martin de Porres, and Christopher Marius of Sun Valley.

The mayor said the oath-taking of elected officials of Liga ng Barangay was witnessed by Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)-Parañaque City Director Alona Raymundo with City Tourism Office and  Public Information Office officer-in-charge  Melquiades I. Alipo-on, and Barangay Marcelo Green Chairman Ian Aguilar.

Olivarez congratulated the elected officials and told them to work hard for the betterment of their constituents.
