Melai Cantiveros is pretty in pink at the Asian Artist Awards 2023

Clad in a custom Chynna Mamawal ensemble, the Filipino host and actress bagged the Best Actor award

South Korean stars gathered at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan on Dec. 14 for the Asian Artist Awards 2023. Joining them were some of the brightest Filipino artists, one of the remarkable ones was Melai Cantiveros.

The 35-year-old TV host and comedienne stole the spotlight with her hilarious banters and facial expressions. The night became one of the biggest moments in her career as she took home the Best Actor award. For the occasion, Melai wore a custom Chynna Mamawal look, featuring a ruched pink top with dramatic sleeves and an elegant train paired with a black above-the-knee skirt.

“We opted to go for a cool glam outfit with this year’s ‘mega sleeve’ trend to highlight her shoulders and collarbone,” stylist Ica Villanueva told Manila Bulletin Lifestyle. “We chose the pastel pink shade to make her overall look fresh and pleasing on the red carpet.”

According to Ica, the black mini-skirt also highlighted her legs. Completing the look were a pair of Jimmy Choo heels, diamond jewelry pieces courtesy of B.O,g, and a clutch from Lady Bag Manila.

Apart from Melai, also present at the awards night were actors Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, who won the Fabulous Award.
