Las Pinas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar met barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan officials from the city’s 20 barangays to ensure a well-coordinated and smooth distribution of the city's "Pamaskong Handog."
Aguilar was joined by Vice-Mayor April Aguilar in the meeting with barangay leaders held at the Mayor’s Office at the second floor of Las Piñas City Hall on Thursday, Dec. 14.
She said the "Pamaskong Handog" is a hallmark of the city government’s community spirit and generosity. It will be held on Dec. 18 to 22.
The mayor said the "handog" or offering reflects the city government’s commitment to welfare and community support.
Aguilar said strategies for the efficient and orderly distributions were discussed, emphasizing the importance of reaching those who are most in need.
She also highlighted the significance of collaboration and meticulous planning in making the "Pamaskong Handog" a success.
The mayor said the involvement of barangay officials is crucial in identifying beneficiaries and ensuring that the spirit of giving reaches every corner of the city.
Aguilar said this year's "Pamaskong Handog" not only showcases the city's deep-rooted tradition of giving, but also reflects the strong leadership and community solidarity in the city.
