Man nabbed for stabbing his neighbor with samurai in Navotas
A man was arrested by members of the Navotas City Police Station (NCPS) after he stabbed his neighbor using a samurai along R10 Sitio Sto. Niño, Brgy. NBBS Proper, Navotas City on Thursday, Dec. 14.
Col. Mario Cortes, NCPS chief, identified the suspect as Christian James Bandillo, 20, of Barangay NBBS Proper.
According to the police, the incident happened at around 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday where the suspect and the victim, Joshua Mercado, 22, also from the said barangay, engaged in a fistfight following a heated argument along the street.
In a closed-circuit television footage, the victim was seen hitting Bandillo on the head.

Police said the suspect then ran towards his house. He came back with a 24-inch samurai and stabbed the victim several times in different parts of the body.
The victim was rushed to Tondo Medical Center for medical treatment.
After receiving reports about the incident, the NCPS deployed personnel and collared Bandillo along
Sitio Puting Bato.
Authorities recovered the bladed weapon used by the suspect.
Cortes said that they are looking into the possibility that Bandillo stabbed Mercado as he had allegedly been bullied and physically attacked by the victim several times in the past.
He added that the victim already reported the bullying to barangay officials but the victim still persisted.
Bandillo will face charges for frustrated murder, police said.
