21 hurt as jeepney overturns in Cagayan

SANTA ANA, Cagayan – Twenty-one individuals were injured after their passenger jeepney overturned in Barangay San Vicente here on Friday, December 15.

Police identified the victims as Victor Agcaoili, driver; Divine Rose Felix, Prince Aron Reyes, Kyle Emerie Bañaga, Violy Berdadero, Maria Josephina Singson,Teresita Guitering, Angel Castillo;

Luzviminda Liban, Monique Agcaoili, Bianca Singson, Vheneluz Agcaoili, Ahlia Mae Duyaguit, Ferdinand Castillo, Marivic Duyagin, August Bangayan, Claudine Bangayan, Roderick Balitan, Nori Balitan, Nieza Verdadero, and Zane Tristan Verdadero.

The victims were on their way to the Nangaramoan Beach Resort when their vehicle lost its brakes in a descending part of the road, ended up on the shoulder, and overturned.

They sustained injuries and were taken by authorities to the hospital.
