Senior high school student falls in buy-bust

BACOLOD CITY â€“ Police arrested a senior high school student in a buy-bust operation in Purok Aton, Barangay Zone 4, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental on Tuesday, December 12.

Police withheld the name of the 18-year-old suspect but he is a resident of Barangay Tinampa-an.

Police Lt. Col. Gil John Despi, Cadiz police chief, said the Grade 12 student yielded 0.5 grams of suspected shabu worth P3,400, 25 grams of suspected marijuana dried leaves valued at P3,000, and the P500 marked money.

Despi said they received a report about the suspect, prompting them to monitor his illegal drug activities.

The suspect told police that he sold drugs to have money for school. Despi said they are investigating if the suspect had clients.

The suspect faces drug-related charges.
