Images are not loading in Messenger for some iPhones

Messenger seems to be having a bit of a hiccup in some iPhones.

Images sent are not loading in iPhone users Messengers and no one seems to know why. We went around in our immediate area and asked if they’re having the same kind of problem. And yes, some of them do.

Searching around the internet, apparently the problem persists. Over at X (formerly Twitter), you can find some people tweeting saying their media is not loading at all in Messenger. The tweets were dated December 13 though. But in Apple’s discussion forums, you can find people saying the same thing, and these were dated just a couple of hours ago.

Coincidentally, Apple has released iOS 17.3. But the problem doesn’t seem to be coming from there as some of the people we’ve asked had the latest iOS version installed. One person from the Apple discussion forum claimed they fixed the issue after uninstalling and reinstalling the Messenger app.

For myself, in my iPhone 11 with iOS 17.2, I am having no issues at all.
