The Department of Health (DOH) reported an additional 338 new Covid-19 infections in the Philippines, bringing the total number of cases to 4,128,107.

As of Dec. 13, the DOH Covid-19 tracker revealed no new deaths, maintaining the fatality rate at 1.6 percent.
Currently, the country has 3,943 active Covid-19 cases.
On a positive note, 208 individuals have recovered from the virus, resulting in a 98.3 percent recovery rate.
There are now 4,057,385 people who are fully recovered.
In terms of healthcare infrastructure utilization, the DOH reported that 10.26 percent of the 1,901 available intensive care unit (ICU) beds are currently occupied by Covid-19 patients.
Non-ICU Covid-19 beds see a utilization rate of 15.76 percent, with 2,617 beds in use out of 16,604. Mechanical ventilators, numbering 1,931, have 106 currently in use.
Despite these statistics, the DOH emphasized the importance of not becoming complacent in the face of the ongoing Covid-19 threat.
The department continues to stress the need to adhere to minimum health standards, including the proper wearing of face masks and staying in well-ventilated areas.
Individuals showing symptoms are urged to isolate themselves immediately.
As a precautionary measure, it reminded the public to get their Covid-19 vaccine and booster shots as soon as possible.
