Bacolod city council OKs P3.6-B budget for 2024

BACOLOD CITY – The city council has approved this city's P3.6-billion budget in 2024.

The Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) unanimously approved the annual expenditure during their regular session on Wednesday, December 13.

Councilor Jude Thaddeus Sayson, chairperson of the Committee on Appropriation and Finance, said the budget for 2024 is P350 million higher than this year’s P3.250 billion.

Sayson said the biggest chunk will go to Health, City Engineer’s Office, and the Department of Social Services and Development (DSSD).

He assured that the budget is well distributed to all departments here.

Since the 2024 budget has been approved, the councilor said that department heads can now prepare their purchases for implementation by January.
