P484,000 'shabu' seized in QC, Caloocan, Malabon


More than P480,000 worth of alleged shabu were seized by law enforcers in four separate buy-bust operations in the cities of Quezon, Caloocan, and Malabon on Sunday, Dec. 10, Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 12 and 13.

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) confiscated around 30 grams of "shabu" valued at P204,000 from two men in an entrapment operation along Republic Avenue, Barangay Holy Spirit Quezon City on Wednesday, Dec. 13.

The suspects were identified as Marvin Maddela, 25, and Miguel Tantiangco, 23, both from the said barangay. They were arrested by the police at around 2 a.m.

Operatives from the Caloocan City Police Station (CCPS) Station Drug Enforcement Unit also arrested two men in another buy-bust in BMBA Compound, 3rd Avenue, Barangay 120, Caloocan City on Tuesday.

The suspects, identified as alias "Bengie," 44, and alias "Joel," 33, both of Barangay 120, yielded P110,160 worth of "shabu" at about 11:51 p.m.

On Sunday, Dec. 10, the same operatives also nabbed a tricycle driver and jeepney driver after they caught P108,000 worth of suspected shabu from them at about 3:07 a.m. along 2nd Avenue, in the same barangay.

CCPS identified the suspects as alias "Alvin," 37, a tricycle driver from Tarlac City; and alias "Randy," 44, a jeepney driver and resident of the said barangay.

Meanwhile, Malabon City Police personnel also confiscated P78,200 worth of shabu from two men in a drug sting along MH Del Pilar, Brgy. Santulan, Malabon City at around 2 a.m. on Tuesday.

The suspects were identified as alias "Michael," 46, and alias "Aga," both Malabon City residents.

Also confiscated from all the suspects were buy-bust money used in the operations, drug paraphernalia, and other items like coin purse and cellphones.

The suspects will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
