Man found dead in front of hardware store in Sta. Ana, Manila
A man was found lifeless in front of a hardware store in Sta. Ana, Manila on Wednesday, Dec. 13.
Authorities said the victim was about 5’4 to 5’5 inches in height, was shirtless, and was only wearing denim pants.
They have yet to verify the name of the victim as of this writing.
According to a hardware staff, he arrived at the store for work at 6 a.m.
When he was about to enter the store, he noticed the man lying in front of the gate.
He tried to wake him up so he can fully open the gate but the victim was not responding.
After several calls, he observed that the victim was not breathing.
He then reported the incident to barangay officials of Barangay 892 for assistance.
Personnel of the Punta precinct led by Staff Sgt. Wilbert Polig and Cpl. Jayson Paet responded to the place.
The Manila Police District (MPD) Homicide Section also arrived at the scene and took cognizance of the case and retrieved the victim's body for autopsy.
Based on the investigation, some witnesses saw the victim arrive at the area. They said the victim's face was not familiar so they thought it was from a nearby barangay.
MPD patrollers are still conducting follow-up operations to find the victim's family.
