District Engineer Jose G. Ginete Jr. said these are the P49-million flood mitigation project on the Baroro River in Barangay Santa Rosa, San Juan, and the concreting of a farm-to-market road linking Barangay Pao Sur and Barangay Pao Norte in San Fernando City.

Ginete said with these projects, residents and farmers in San Juan and San Fernando City now have a more secure, accessible, and prosperous environment.

The project in Barangay Santa Rosa involved the construction of a 192-linear-meter concrete dike on the riverbank.

The dike will mitigate flood caused by the river during intense rainfall and prevent erosion, ultimately enhancing the safety of residents living on the riverbank.

The P4.9-million, 483-meter farm-to-market road gives farmers better access to local, regional, and national markets and increases their opportunities to sell their products.

The road also improves travel time for residents and farmers, making transportation more efficient and accessible.
