Cops arrests man for buying stolen jewelry worth P370,000 in QC

Operatives of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Fairview Station (PS5) arrested a man after he brought stolen jewelry worth P370,000 on Monday, Dec. 11.
Police identified the suspect as Jeofrance Rombaoa, 29, resident of Barangay Bagong Silangan, Quezon City.
Based on the police report, ,the victim Jonathan Bingayan discovered that his jewelry, worth of P370,000 and cash money worth of P15,000, which were placed inside his vehicle were missing at around 6 p.m. on Nov. 27.
Upon reviewing the installed CCTV camera, he saw a suspect who stole the said items.
Bingayan immediately reported the said incident to PS 5 operatives, on Monday, Dec 11. at around 12:30 a.m.
According to the QCPD Public Information Office (PIO), the PS 5 operatives promptly initiated a follow-up operation and investigation.
They identified a minor witness who affirmed that he knew the suspects captured in the video.
The witness also disclosed the location where the stolen items were sold.
On the same day, the operatives of PS 5 proceeded to the area along Commonwealth Avenue, cor., Regalado St., Barangay Fairview, Quezon City, which resulted in the arrest of the Romboa.
Operatives recovered the stolen jewelry worth P250,000.
The suspect will be charged for violation of Presidential Decree 1612 or the Anti -Fencing Law, while the other suspects were subject to manhunt operation, police said.
