Cloud clusters may form into LPA within 24 hours — PAGASA
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Wednesday, Dec. 13 said cloud clusters in the central Pacific Ocean are being monitored as they move closer to the country’s area of responsibility (PAR).

Weather specialist Benison Estareja in PAGASA's live forecast on Wednesday morning said the agency is not ruling out the possibility that the cloud clusters may develop into a low pressure area within 24 hours and enter the Philippine area of responsibility by Saturday or Sunday, Dec. 16 or 17.
He advised the public to continue to monitor PAGASA’s updates on this potential weather disturbance.
Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon, locally known as “amihan,” and the easterlies, or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean, will still be the dominant weather systems in the next 24 hours.
Cloudy skies with light rains will be felt in Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Aurora, and Quezon, while the amihan will cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains in Ilocos Region, Central Luzon, and the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region.
The easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms to Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
PAGASA alerted the public to the possibility of landslides or flash floods during severe thunderstorms.
