Police identified the victim as Jestony Sohot.
Police Major Nelson Amsiwen Jr., La Castellana police chief, said the victim was attending the barangay Christmas party when he figured in an altercation with a man, resulting in a fistfight.
The cousin of the suspect joined the fray and allegedly stabbed the victim in the chest, Amsiwen said.
The victim was declared dead in a hospital and one of the suspects was arrested in Barangay Biak na Bato.
Amsiwen said the other suspect surrendered to the police later that day through officials of nearby Barangay Cabagna-an.
However, the bladed weapon used in the incident was not recovered as one of the suspects threw it away due to fear, Amsiwen said.
Amsiwen said that grudges and drunkenness were the motives of the incident.
Police have yet to disclose the names of the suspects.
