ILOILO CITY – President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and Secretary Conrado Estrella III of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) distributed land titles to 2,143 farmers from Panay and Guimaras Islands in a ceremony in Passi City, Iloilo on Monday, December 11.

Estrella assured that the Marcos administration remains dedicated in delivering integrated support services as well as advancing land tenure improvement and agrarian justice for Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs).
DAR-Western Visayas led by Regional Director Sheila Enciso said the ARBs were from the provinces of Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Iloilo, and Guimaras.
A total of 2,903.5234 hectares of agricultural land were distributed in line with the DAR’s Support to Parcelization for Individual Titling (SPLIT) project.
Capiz topped the list with 1,035 farmer-beneficiaries and a total area of 1,541 hectares. Iloilo had 681 farmer-beneficiaries and 818 hectares.
Antique had 210 farmer-beneficiaries and 293 hectares. Aklan had 84 farmer-beneficiaries and 201 hectares. Guimaras had 33 farmer-beneficiaries and 48 hectares.
DAR also distributed farm machinery equipment worth P26.7 million to 90 Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organizations (ARBOs).
