P1.36 M shabu seized in Bulacan

Police seized an estimated P1,360,000 worth of suspected shabu and arrested two men during a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Lalakhan, Santa Maria, Bulacan on Tuesday, Dec. 12.

In reports submitted to Lt. Col. Jacquiline P. Puapo, Bulacan police officer-in-charge, the buy-bust operation was conducted by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit/Provincial Intelligence Unit (PDEU/PIU) in collaboration with the Sta. Maria police.

The arrested drug suspect was identified as alias "Buddy," 40, considered a high-value individual, and an electrician from Lower Bicutan, Taguig City; and his male cohort.

The operation yielded around 200 grams of suspected shabu valued at approximately P1,360,000 and the marked money.

The arrested suspects and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit (PFU) for examination.

Criminal complaints for violations of Republic Act 9165 against the suspects are now being prepared for filing in court.
