James Kwekuteye inks contract with Blackwater Bossing

Blackwater has found a reinforcement in former San Beda star James Kwekuteye, who has signed a two-year deal with the Bossing recently in the PBA.

Blackwater has found a reinforcement in former San Beda star James Kwekuteye, who has signed a two-year deal with the Bossing recently in the PBA.

The development came months after he was selected by the Bossing as the 20th overall pick in the 2023 PBA Rookie Draft while playing for the Bacoor Strikers in the MPBL.

Bacoor, though, lost in the Finals against the Pampanga Lanterns led by Justine Baltazar and Kurt Reyson.

Kwekuteye played for the San Beda Red Lions for four years. During his final season, he and his teammates bowed to the College of St. Benilde Blazers in the semifinals.

He, however, was part of the Mythical Team in NCAA Season 98.

The 6-foot-2 guard has also played for the Zamboanga Valientes in the 2023 ASEAN Basketball Invitational last January.
