Isolated rain showers may prevail due to 'amihan', easterlies
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Tuesday, Dec. 12 said the northeast monsoon will affect Northern Luzon, while the easterlies will prevail over the rest of the country.

In its 4 a.m. bulletin, PAGASA said Batanes and Babuyan Islands will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon, locally known as “amihan.”
Weather specialist Patrick Del Mundo said the northeast monsoon may prevail in other Luzon areas in the next few hours.
Meanwhile, Del Mundo said partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains showers or thunderstorms will be felt in Metro Manila and the rest of the country due to the easterlies or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean.
PAGASA said flash floods or landslides may occur in the affected areas during severe thunderstorms.
Del Mundo also said that PAGASA has not monitored a low pressure area that may affect the country in the coming days.
