BTS members Jungkook, Jimin enlist in the military: See you all in 2025

  • All BTS members will finish their military service by June 2025. 

All seven members of Grammy-nominated K-pop idol group BTS are now in the military to fulfill their mandatory duty. 

This is after BTS’ Jungkook and Jimin entered the Army’s 5th Infantry Division Recruit Training Center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province in South Korea at about 1:30 p.m. KST.

All BTS members on Dec. 11 when RM and V enlisted in the military (X) 

The 5th Infantry Division was where BTS’ Jin entered when he enlisted last December and where he is currently serving as an assistant instructor. 

On Dec. 11, BTS’ RM and V enlisted and entered the  Korea Army Training Center in Nonsan, South Chungcheong Province. 

On X (formerly Twitter) photos showed BTS’ Suga and J-Hope, who are both fulfilling their military service, accompanying Jungkook and Jimin to their enlistment. 

Before he enlisted, Jungkook held a live broadcast on the Weverse app. 

“I came to say my final goodbyes. Everyone, be healthy and well. I’ll come back safely. Definitely because it’s the day before [enlistment], I feel uneasy,” he said. 

He added, “By tomorrow, all of our members will be serving in the military. Thank you so much for giving us support. I’m going to miss you. I love you, everyone."  

All BTS members will finish their military service by June 2025. 

Jin enlisted on Dec. 13, 2022 and will be discharged on June 12, 2024. 

J-Hope started his service on April 18 this year and will be discharged on Oct. 17, 2024. 

Suga enlisted on Sept. 22 this year and will serve for 21 months as a social worker or public duty personnel, an alternative form of military service. He will be discharged on June 21, 2025. 

RM and V enlisted on Dec. 11 and will be serving for 18 months. Both will be discharged on June 10, 2025. 

Jungkook and Jimin will also serve for 18 months and will be discharged on June 11, 2025. 

BTS members are aiming to regroup in 2025 after completing their military service.
