DTI launches OTOP-Go Lokal! In Laguindingan Airport

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) - Region 10 has opened the new OTOP-Go Lokal! Store in Laguindingan Airport showcasing the best products from businesses in Northern Mindanao.

The new store features goods from 33 micro, smal, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Bukidnon, Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, and Misamis Oriental.

Tourists at the airport can purchase chicharon from Slers Industries Inc., handmade stationary from Salay Handmade Products Industries Inc., souvenir items from Chris Gomez Creative Designs, brownie treats from Bite Me Up Food Corp., home products from Oro Handmade Innovations Inc., Abaca-fiber bags from Puyo Handicrafts, and dessert snacks from Hinam-is & Cagayan de Oro’s Delights.

The store will be operated by Melvin Fabello from MC Food Trading.

The store’s opening was organized by DTI Region 10 led by Regional Director Ermedio J. Abang and DTI Misamis Oriental Provincial Director Almer R. Masillones.

Partner agencies included the Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion (BDTP), and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines-Area Center X.

It was also supported by the Province of Misamis Oriental and the Local Government Unit of Laguindingan.

Special guests of the inauguration are Laguindingan Mayor Diosdado T. Obsioma, Iligan City Councilor Reggie Punong Bayan, Department of Tourism (DOT) - Region 10 Regional Director Marie Elaine S. Unchuan, and DTI- Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion Director Marievic M. Bonoan.
