The Department of Health (DOH) recorded 254 new Covid-19 infections on Monday, Dec. 11, adding to the total national count of 4,127,586 cases.

The DOH Covid-19 tracker, however, revealed no new deaths, maintaining the country's fatality rate at 1.6 percent.
Meanwhile, active cases stand at 3,876.
Recovery figures continue to rise, with 4,056,931 individuals having successfully recovered, marking a recovery rate of 98.3 percent, boosted by 818 additional recoveries from Dec. 7 to 11.
Concerning Covid-19 bed occupancy, it said that 10.72 percent of the 1,819 designated ICU beds are in use, with 15.4 percent occupancy for non-ICU beds.
Of the 1,875 available mechanical ventilators, 89 are actively supporting Covid-19 patients.
Despite these numbers, the health department urged the public not to be complacent.
The DOH emphasized the ongoing importance of adhering to basic health standards, including wearing properly fitting face masks, staying in well-ventilated areas, and promptly isolating individuals with Covid-19 symptoms.
