Del Monte Philippines Incorporated (DMPI) - Mindanao LMC wins 2023 Most Outstanding Labor Management Cooperation for Industrial Peace Award

The National Conciliation and Mediation Board (NCMB) in partnership with Philippine League of Labor Management Cooperation Practitioners (PHILAMCOP) held the 13th National Convention on Labor Management Cooperation with the theme, “Reboot, Revitalize, Optimize: Getting Ahead Towards A Boundless Horizon”. Del Monte Philippines Incorporated (DMPI) - Mindanao LMC was chosen winner in the 2023 Search for Outstanding Labor Management Cooperation for Industrial Peace Award in the Philippines. 

The plaque of recognition was presented by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma and NCMB Executive Director Teresita Lacsamana-Cancio during the convention last November 23-24, 2023 at Forest Crest Nature Hotel and Resort, Nasugbo Batangas with around 2,000 delegates in attendance. 

In retrospect, DMPI had won the same citation as Most Outstanding Labor Management Cooperation for Industrial Peace Award in the National Level last 2005 which was awarded to DMPI Cannery LMC (Bugo) and 2007 awarded to DMPI Plantation LMC (Plantation). From then on, the DMPI Plantation LMC had been a National Finalist in 2009, 2013, 2015 and 2017. 

This is the very first time that DMPI submitted one consolidated entry for combined LMC in Mindanao for both Plantation and Manufacturing. DMPI has bested around 78 organized companies in the region to emerge as one of the winners that made it to the final round of 9 finalists-nationwide. 

Amidst challenges, our DMPI LMC Program is a testament of our collaborative efforts towards a lasting and enduring harmony in the work place. This progressive regional and national search is conducted every other two years. 

The recognition is added to this current year’s series of affirmations received by DMPI on its employment branding and employer reputation that includes: Top 50 Most Attractive Employers in the Philippines in 2023 from Universum (global employer branding leader), and Philippines’ Best Employer 2024 given by Philippine Daily Inquirer and Statista (ranked top 23 out of 300).
