3,000 Bulakenyos benefit from PAGCOR's 'Bawat Buhay Mahalaga Serbisyo Caravan'
Some 3,000 residents of City of Malolos, Bulacan received various services during the launching of Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation’s (PAGCOR) "Bawat Buhay Mahalaga Serbisyo Caravan" on Friday and Saturday, Dec.8 and 9.
The Bawat Buhay Mahalaga Serbisyo Caravan provided medical and dental missions, scholarship grants, bicycle patrols, and livelihood showcases to Bulakenyos from different towns and cities in the province of Bulacan.

According to PAGCOR Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Alejandro H. Tengco, the two-day event at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium is inspired by President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.’s pledge to bring government services closer to local communities.
In his speech before the packed crowd at the capitol gymnasium during the launch, Tengco said that Christmas came early to the people and the province of Bulacan because they will be giving away life-changing gifts that will serve as a new beginning for the people.
He said this was the first caravan that they conducted under his management.
PAGCOR has allocated P50 million for the caravan launch which covers educational grants for 2,000 students, 45 sari-sari store livelihood packages, more than 4,000 bicycle units, and P5 million worth of hospital equipment for the Bulacan Medical Center.
There were also wheelchairs, medicines, food packs as well as reading glasses and canes for senior citizens on top of medical and dental consultations during the two-day event.
Tengco said the educational grant for 2,000 students will cover both college and technical-vocational students who will each receive P10,000 every year.
“Isanlibo po sa mga iskolar na ito ay manggagaling sa vocational schools bilang pagpapakita ng ating suporta at pagkilala sa kahalagahan ng vocational and technical education sa pangkalahatang pag-unlad ng ating mga industriya (One thousand of these scholars will be from vocational schools to show our support and acknowledgement of the importance of the vocational and technical education for the whole development of our industries)," he said.
Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando, who also graced the event, expressed his gratitude to PAGCOR and Chairman Tengco for choosing the province as the first recipient of the state gaming agency’s service caravan.
The state gaming agency partnered with the Bulacan Provincial Government, the Armed Forces of the Philippines Health Service Command, National University College of Dentistry, University of the Philippines (UP) Manila Chancellor’s Office, and UP Manila Ugnayan ng Pahinungod for the caravan.
