Malabon LGU gives mentors extra rest day on Teacher's Day

The Malabon City government gave mentors and educators in the city an extra rest day on Friday, Dec. 1, as it announced the cancellation of classes in both public and private schools to celebrate Teacher's Day.

The cancellation of classes was made under City Ordinance No. 31-2005 which aims to recognize the service and dedication of the teachers in the city for the development of the student's lives.

It also aims to provide a rest day for all the teachers in the city.

"Maligayang pagbati sa ating mga magigiting na guro dito sa Malabon! Kinikilala ng lokal na pamahalaan ang inyong hindi matatawarang kontribusyon sa pag-unlad ng ating lungsod. Patuloy tayong magtulungan upang makapaghatid ng dekalidad na edukasyon tungo sa magandang kinabukasan ng bawat Malabueño! (Greetings to our brave teachers here in Malabon! The local government recognizes your invaluable contribution to the development of our city. Let's continue to work together to deliver quality education towards a bright future for every Malabueño!)" the city government said.
