HK's adaptation of 'Business Proposal' series starts airing on Viu Philippines

As Viu stands for premium Asian content, Viu Philippines has unveiled its latest offering that will surely get viewers hooked: Hong Kong’s adaptation of the blockbuster webtoon-turned-series “Business Proposal”!

Hong Kong’s own version stars local model and actress Hanna Chan as the office worker who goes on a blind date disguised as her rich best friend, and Anson Lo as the CEO who is being pressured by his grandfather to find a suitable wife. Intent on making a bad impression, the young woman finds herself in a dilemma when she discovers that her date is her company’s big boss and that he is determined to marry her.

Edan Lui plays the CEO’s executive assistant who falls in love with the rich best friend and career woman portrayed by Shirley Sham.

This Cantonese adaptation is much awaited as its cast members are household names in Hong Kong. In fact, leading men Edan and Anson are part of the popular Hong Kong boy group Mirror. There are also tweaks to the story to appeal to local viewers. For instance, instead of a fried chicken company, the HK version will be situated in a Hong Kong-style restaurant. Certain characters like the grandfather’s driver will have bigger screen exposure.
