DSWD ranks 2nd in top-performing gov't agencies — survey
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) on Friday, Dec. 1, was recognized as one of the top-performing government agencies for the third quarter of the year, according to the Tugon ng Masa (TNM) nationwide survey conducted by OCTA Research.

In a statement, the results showed that the DSWD received a rating of 75 percent, just behind the Department of Education (DepEd), which topped the list with an 80 percent rating.
It added that the survey was conducted from Sept. 30 to Oct. 4.

DSWD Assistant Secretary for Strategic Communications Romel Lopez, on behalf of the entire DSWD under the leadership of Secretary Rex Gatchalian, expressed gratitude to the Filipino people for "recognizing the department's efforts in uplifting the lives of the poor and vulnerable sectors."
"With these favorable ratings, the DSWD vows to further improve and innovate our systems and processes to provide quality and efficient services to the people we serve," the DSWD spokesperson added.
Other top-performing agencies are the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), the Department of Health (DOH), and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
Beyond this, the DSWD also was in fifth spot among the top most trusted government agencies in the same survey, with a rating of 73 percent.
