De Lima to KathNiel: I pray for your continued healing

Former senator Leila de Lima offered her prayers for stars Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo who announced their breakup on Nov. 30.

Padilla and Bernardo campaigned for De Lima in her Senate bid in the May 2022 national and local elections.

De Lima ran and won in the 2016 elections but was jailed on drug charges in 2017 under the Duterte administration. She ran last year but lost in her reelection bid.

She was released from detention last Nov. 13 after six years and eight months when a Muntinlupa judge granted her bail.

“Hindi ko pa man sila personal na nakita, at sa standee ko pa lang sila nakasama, maraming salamat #KathNiel sa inspirasyon (I have not seen them personally and I was with them through my standee, thank you #KathNiel for the inspiration),” De Lima posted on Facebook.

She added, “I pray for your continued growth and healing. Patuloy namin kayong susuportahan (We will continue to support you). God bless you, your fans and family.”

Padilla and Bernardo became a hot topic on social media because of the breakup. Fans expressed their sadness over the end of their relationship.

“Chapter closed. I hope this finally helps all of us move forward. I won’t be entertaining questions regarding this anymore. Thank you for understanding,” posted Bernardo on Instagram along with her explanation about the breakup. . Padilla also posted on Instagram to confirm it.
