BACOLOD CITY – Police arrested a suspected drug pusher and his two companions and seized P489,000 shabu in a buy-bust operation in Purok Lubi, Barangay 3, this city, on Wednesday, November 29.
The City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) identified the suspects as Jimmy Cordova, 31, and his two couriers, Wilfrando Francia, 60, and Michael Ababa, 22, a college student, all residents of Barangay 3.

Seized from the suspects were 72 grams of suspected shabu worth P489,000, the P1,000 marked money, P2,000 boodle money, and P250.
Police Capt. Joven Mogato, CDEU head, said they received reports last month about Cordova’s illegal activities in the area, prompting them to monitor and conduct the buy-bust operation.
Mogato said that Cordova had an anti-fencing law case in 2021 and he was under probation after he was released in 2022.
Drug charges were filed on Thursday, November 30, against the suspects who are detained at Police Station 2.
