P1.4-M shabu seized from 3 drug pushers

GENERAL SANTOS CITY – Police dismantled a drug syndicate operating in this city and Sarangani following the arrest of three suspected members in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Bula here on November 7.

Police Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg, Police Regional Office-12 director, identified the suspects as Norhan Maulana, 35; Benjamin Unos, 47, and Noel Amenita, 47, residents of Kiamba, Sarangani.

Seized by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit from them were 210 grams of suspected shabu worth P1.4 million.

Macaraeg said the suspects belong to a gang that sources shabu from Maguindanao and distributes them to this city and Sarangani.

The suspects were placed under surveillance for a month following intelligence reports of their illegal drug activities. Suspects face drug-related charges.
