LPA dissipates; isolated rains expected over parts of PH

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Thursday, Nov. 9, said the Low Pressure Area (LPA) it was monitoring inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) has dissipated.

Meanwhile, weather specialist Rhea Torres said the northeast monsoon or "amihan" and the easterlies still affect the country.

In Batanes and Babuyan Islands, PAGASA said partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains would be experienced due to "amihan."

In Metro Manila and the rest of the country, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers will also be felt due to localized thunderstorms and the easterlies --- the warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean.

The public was warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms in the affected areas.
