DOH, USAID collaborate to digitalize Manila's healthcare systems
The Department of Health (DOH) expressed its support for the Digitization of Manila’s Healthcare Systems for Universal Health Care and Adolescent Sexuality and Reproductive Health (ASRH).

DOH, represented by Public Health Services Team Undersecretary Dr. Maria Rosario Singh-Vergeire, attended the event held on Nov. 8 at the Manila Prince Hotel.
The event, DOH said, focused on digitizing Manila's healthcare systems in line with the agency's "Teknolohiya para sa mabilis na serbisyong pangkalusugan" (Technology for fast healthcare services) initiative.
Additionally, the Wireless Access for Health (WAH) Electronic Health Records, along with the WAHtermelon and its functionalities, were showcased during the event, DOH said.
This initiative, DOH explained, is aligned with its 8-Point Action Agenda, demonstrating its commitment to leveraging technology for efficient healthcare services.
DOH said the activity provided an avenue for key decision makers within Manila's healthcare ecosystem to appraise the level of effort, level expectations, and convey personal responses to the implementation of a Health Information System (HIS) Interoperability Roadmap that integrates ASRH.
The key decision-makers in Manila's healthcare ecosystem, including USAID ReachHealth Project Chief of Party Dr. Laurentiu Stan; USAID-Office of Health Director Andrea Halverson; USAID ReachHealth Regional Manager Axell M. Alterado; and City of Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan, attended the event.
