Police identified the victim as June Molina, 35, of Barangay 27.

Police Capt. Peter John Ramos, head of Police Station 4, said the victim and suspect Oliver Villaalba figured in a heated argument earlier that day when Molina failed to pay Villaalba his remaining debt amounting to P2,000.

Later that night, Ramos said the suspect returned to the victim’s house and called him.

Ramos said the victim went out of his house to check who called him and a gunshot was heard.

The victim was found sprawled on the ground and taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.

Ramos said the suspect was arrested in a hot-pursuit operation in a house in Barangay 27.

The suspect denied killing Molina in a radio interview.
